Are you motivated by Vision or Fear?

People become entrepreneurs for different reasons:  to make their own schedule, work at their own pace, not having to answer to a boss, etc.  Sometimes after a while media or conversation with others creates fears and negative thoughts.  This can change or eliminate the Vision.  What started out to be positive becomes negative and can diminish the vision.  Being motivated by fears creates a very different experience in business than being motivated by a compelling Vision.

We have discovered that to align oneself with a business vision we have to have clarity about what we really want and what is important to us.  Our life style is usually based on our values, whether we realize it or not.  The business vision needs to include how you feel in your ideal business.  It’s not only more rewarding and meaningful to live from a Vision; it is also much more effective.

Once you are clear about what you want and believe that people need what you are offering, keep it in your thoughts and visualize it.  Some of the benefits of Vision include more motivation and vitality, greater creativity, new perspectives and increased drive.  In addition, the power that you discover in yourself will help you learn to take control of business as an entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur:

  • Your business vision needs to be aligned with your values.
  • When you are in business is it Vision or Wishful thinking?  Be Clear!
  • Does your business satisfy your core needs?
  • Know yourself
  • How do you need to grow?
  • What do you need to learn?
  • Make a commitment

When your business vision is compatible with your ideal values you will have a greater sense of purpose for what you want to do.
